Apart from the house with it's magnificent rooms and treasures there is an insight into below stairs with a fully equipped laundry, gun room and brew house. The stables house carts, coaches and vintage motor cards. The grounds and farm are also worth a visit.

Nearest mooring at Castlefield Junction.
As you approach the junction on the canal look out for the widest railway viaduct arch through which are the moorings. The museum can be seen across Liverpool Road. This mooring is also ideal for all that Manchester offers. The Tourist Information Centre is located in St. Peters Square, turn right up to Deansgate, left along Deansgate to Peter Street, turn right up to St. Peters Square.
